Statement
In some situations, perception changes. Suddenly you reflect on what was previously taken for granted, and the purposeful action transforms into an emotional gesture. These moments of conscious attention reflect the fact that self-perception and perception of the environment can be transformed.
I am inspired by the subtle changes in the perception of subjective worlds. In my work I appropriate, deconstruct and translate them. They become autofictional, intuitive, playful, performative and poetic. I work on all my works over a long period of time, multiplying and changing the components until they have evolved and can tell their own story. These work complexes create their own atmosphere and connect with subjective imaginary worlds.
In my artistic practice I blur the boundaries between art and other disciplines, conducting project-specific research in the humanities and natural sciences, using methods from the applied arts and exchanging ideas with experts. In my storytelling and soft world-building I use graphics, sculpture, language, video and sound as components of transmedia installations, environments and performances.
